Showtime
The Kununurra Agricultural Show will be held on Friday 10th July and Saturday 11th July, 2020 - our theme for 2020 is The International Year of Plant Health.
As usual we have a variety of demonstrations, competitions and workshops to be held around the grounds over the weekend.
FRIDAY is the 'Family Day' with a bucket load of local performers & musicians, including circus workshops, roving entertainers, sideshows and a magical display of fireworks to cap off the evening. The very popular watermelon eating competition will be back to begin the novelty events.
In the Equestrian Section there will be breed classes, dressage, mounted games and showjumping, with Top Score and Six Bar for a bit of edge of your seat excitement! Friday this year will include bar service from 5-9pm.
SATURDAY is jam-packed full of hilarious novelty events like the Dog Show, Watermelon Olympics, Kimberley Cowboy Challenge and Hay Stacking. The usual array of sideshow rides and stalls, show bags, kid's entertainment, machinery exhibits, farming displays, cattle and custom vehicle exhibits will be on site. This year the Show Horse will start at 8am Saturday morning with the lead rein kids, finishing with the Fancy Dress class and then the mounted Stockman's Challenge kicks off with an obstacle course designed to challenge the horse and rider.
Saturday's Bar area opens at 12 noon, revellers can stay on to rock the night away to a live band, and enjoy another display of fireworks!
