Website works…..
Over the next 2 months we will be upgrading our website to make it a complete source of information for anything and everything to do with the show. Look out for our new classes and a few new novelty events as well. The full schedule of classes and entry forms will be downloadable for your convenience. It will us help save on printing costs and paper by having this available…however the printed schedules will still be available around town in the usual locations around mid May.
Somewhere to meet…..
We will be giving the main office a spruce up over the wet season as well. A lick of paint, some new furniture and a lot of cleaning out is on the cards. This will make it a lot more user friendly, so if you are looking for a place for your group to meet regularly, give Bron a call in the office and see if we can suit your budget, needs and times.
Junior Committee Members…..
We welcome this year to the committee Laura Kuiper, at 14...our youngest committee member yet!!!Laura is on board to encourage the younger generations to come onboard and get involved in this fantastic community event. If your children might be interested in helping Laura out please contact the office for more info.
Too true…..
Beginning a sentence, 'Now, don't get angry...' will always have the reverse effect
Congratulations go to…..
A few nominations were secretly submitted by KAS to the Shire’s ‘Volunteer of the Year’ Awards. Bruce Carey, Sarah Brett, Chris and Di Robinson were nominated for all the time and effort they have put into the Ag show over the years. A breakfast was held at the Leisure centre to acknowledge all of the nominations and announce the winner for 2009. Congratulations to Chris and Di Robinson who won ‘2009 Volunteer of the Year’. Chris and Di are together an integral part of the Kununurra Agricultural Society. Between them both they have contributed a massive amount of their time and effort to the running of the Ag Society, and are always encouraging and supporting the younger generations of the community to become involved.
